Your Corps Officers


Captain Mike Harris was born in Coventry, England to Edward and Fay.  Edward was the YPSM & Fay was a Sunday School Teacher and Cradle Roll Sargent.  He is the oldest of three children, with two sisters Linda, and Susan.  Mike is a 5th generation Salvationist, though the 1st officer in his family.  He moved to the states in 1991 and worked at DHQ in NCV Division as an internal auditor. Later he moved to Richmond, VA to be the Area Command Business Administrator.


Captain Christine Harris was born in Dallas, Texas to Glenn and Milly Fite.  Glenn and Milly are retired Officers.  Christine is number 4 of the 5 Fite children.  She is a 4th generation Salvationist, and a 4th generation Officer.  While going to school in Richmond, VA she worked as a local baker before taking the Christian Education position at the Richmond Corps.


Mike and Christine married in 1997, and they have three children. Hope, Michael, and Christian.


In 2004 the Harris’ were commissioned with the Bridgebuilders Session.  Their first appointment was as Corps Officers in Fredericksburg, Virginia where they serve for 6 years. In 2010 they were appointed as Regional Coordinators in Hickory, North Carolina where they served for 5 years prior to their appointment to Clearwater.
